Greenhouses in Holland
The Netherlands is one of the largest exporters of agricultural produce in the world, with top-3 rankings in products such as vegetables and flowers. Most of these are grown in massive high-tech greenhouses scattered throughout the country. One of the largest agglomerations of greenhouses can be found near the port city of Rotterdam, in the province of Zuid Holland (South Holland).

Endless fields of tulips in Holland
The area around Lisse, about 20km southwest of Amsterdam, is famous around the world for its vast fields of tulips and the Keukenhof. The best time to view these fields is in the second half of April. Hire a bicycle and explore the fields around Lisse, Sassenheim and Voorhout.
