The Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol
The Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol is one of three major Dalí attractions in the Costa Brava, north of Barcelona; the other two being the Dalí Theatre Museum in Figueres and the Casa Dalí in Port Lligat. This medieval castle was purchased by Salvador Dalí for his wife Gala in the little hamlet of Púbol. I found it to be the least impressive of the three but it is certainly worth a visit to see the fabulous ceiling in the main hall, admire the sunflower fields outside the great master’s studio and for a leisurely stroll in the gorgeous garden.
